Charles Epperson

Charles Epperson of Salem, Missouri was born on July 8, 1945 in Skygusty, West Virginia to William and Lucille (Payne) Epperson. He passed from this life on January 21, 2022 at the age of 76 years. Charles was a proud military veteran and served in the Vietnam war for which he received a Purple Heart for his service. He worked as a Police Officer in Floyd County, West Virginia and was a former member of the American Legion post #99. He was a member of the of the NRA and enjoyed fishing and hunting, but his favorite hobby was Coon hunting. Charles is preceded in death by his parents, William and Lucille (Payne) Epperson; and brother, Michael Morris. Charles is survived by his children, Tonia Hess of Salem Missouri, Audy Cowsky (Andy) of St. Petersburg, Florida, Zoa Owens of Georgia, Donald Epperson of Horsecave Kentucky, Larry Epperson of Horsecave, Kentucky; brother, Duke Morris of Durham, North Carolina, sister Donna Simmons of Virginia; grandchildren, Michael Hess, Seth Hess, Willo Owens, Westly Owens. Charles wishes were to be cremated and laid to rest in his family burial plot in Skygusty, West Virginia.
