March 12, 1959 - June 7, 2019
Deborah Louise Hawkins of Salem, Missouri passed away Friday, June 7, 2019 at the St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, Missouri, peacefully surrounded by her family. Debbie was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 12, 1959 to the late Bradley and Alma (Dunn) Epperson. Deborah worked for U.S. Foods as a Security Guard for several years, until her health declined. She enjoyed her Macaw's, and was able to raise three Macaw babies. She enjoyed music, especially classic rock, and her grandson Matt's band. Debra was proud of her family, she adored her grandchildren, and they adored her. It was nothing to have an impromptu "slumber party at granny D's house, first there would be a little baking of cookies, or brownies, followed by their favorite television shows, Ghost Adventures, and the Haunted Hill House, they would watch these shows, while snaking on what they baked, followed with Mountain Dew. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. Deborah Louise Hawkins is survived by her fiancé Rick Trolinger, of Salem, MO; children, Jason Hawkins and wife Megan, of Salem, MO, and Elizabeth Shelton and husband Zach, of Rolla, MO; grandchildren, Matt Hawkins, Shanna Hawkins, Zach Wagner, Nolan Watson, and Jereth Hobson; sister Michele Shemonia and husband Bill, of IL; brother, Michael Epperson and wife Joy, of IL; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A Celebration to Honor the life that she lived will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019 at the Salem Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary from 4-6PM. Memorials are suggested and appreciated to the Dent County Animal Shelter, for love of animals.
