Howard Eugene Sharp

Mr. Howard Eugene Sharp was born on the 23rd of August 1953 in Aberdeen, Washington but grew up in the Tri-cities with his adoptive parents, the late Willard and Juanita Sharp. He shared the home with his beloved adopted sister, Cathy, who survives. He graduated from Kennewick High School in 1972. He moved with his family to Missouri where he earned his Master’s degree in Education in the mid 1980’s. Howard was a jack of all trades by teaching school, a healthcare provider, working in accounting, and working retail. These were some of his favorite occupations, he was most proud of his 15 year career at DJ Roofing in Springfield, Missouri. God then moved him to Pierce City, Missouri to work as a deaf educator. This is how he met his surviving wife Sally Sharp of 20 years. He was united in marriage on the 3rd of March 2001 to Sally Anne Walker; who was the love of his life. Their love grew to include Sally’s children, Andrew McCracken, Matt McCracken and his wife Misty, Mark McCracken and his wife Krista and Sarah Evans and her husband Ray. Papa Howard deeply loved his step-children and his 9 grandchildren very much. He was so honored and excited to be reunited with his Quinault Indian family in 2002. Howard and Sally enjoyed their growing relationship with his late mother Bernice Cultee and siblings, Keystone, Poncho, Iris, Ira, and Eva, and many beloved cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Ira Cultee Sr. and siblings Joe Buck and Flora. Howard had many people who he loved and loved him back including all his family, aunts June Kellar, Donna Sexton, and Jeanette Sawyer, cousin Lisa...,sisters in law Mary (Chuck)Fanning and Susan(Kevin) Bowling and brother in law John (Mary) Walker, as well as a host of nieces and nephews and many close friends, including Teri and Marty Stephens. Anyone who knew Howard was sure to get a big “ Howie hug.” Howard loved helping others, he was very active in his church life including deaf ministry, hispanic ministry, puppet ministry and dressing up as a clown for children’s ministry. Howard loved God's Word and he studied it; led Bible studies online and treasured the Bible. Howard had a passion for painting landscapes to which he donated and sold several pieces. He especially loved gifting family and friends with their requested paintings. He bravely battled a long illness but went to be home with his heavenly father while in his home surrounded by love with his family and friends on the 3rd of June, 2021 at the age of 67. A celebration of life service will be held on the 10th of July, 2021 at 3pm at Gear City Church in Rolla, Missouri
