James Richard Kile I
August 12, 1946 - May 10, 2018
James Richard Kile I, formerly of St. James, Missouri passed away peacefully and surrounded by love at his son's home in Dallas, Texas on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the age of 71. Jim was born on August, 12, 1946 in St. Charles, Missouri to the late Edgar and Lillian (Bizilli) Kile. Jim proudly served his country as a medic in the United States Army during the Vietnam War; After he returned home he owned a gas station for several years and eventually joined the Teamsters union as a delivery driver to the adjoining states, retiring from Hostess Bakery. On December 29, 1979, Jim married the love of his life, Miss Gail Kirchner. Although, Jim and Gail may not have physically been in their kids’ lives every single day, emotionally they were there every minute of every day. Jim loved all of his children and grandchildren and was proud of each of their accomplishments in life. He dreamed of retiring in St. James and relaxing in the beauty of its surroundings, where he could be close to the trout streams, or working on his "honey do" list that Gail always had ready or most importantly working on his fantasy baseball or football teams. Jim was always up for a good conversation rather it be about sports, politics or religion. Jim particularly loved to "debate" with his long-time friend Bill Brozovich. James Richard Kile I is survived by his children, James Kile II, of Duncanville, TX, and his son James; Jason Kile, of Dallas, TX, and his children, Jason Jr, Julianna, Jenna and Jayda; Julie Mathison of Warrenton, MO, and her daughter Abby and Vince Kile, and wife Shaunna, of Duncanville, TX; and their children Josh, Noah, Caitlyn, Madilyn and Addisyn; one sister, Mary Ellen "Sis" Grissom, of New Haven, MO; nieces, nephews, extended family, many friends and his 4-legged best friend Chevrolet "Chevy". James was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Lillian Kile, and his beloved wife Gail. Funeral services for James Richard Kile I will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 1:00PM at the St. James Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary with Pastor Steve Kohler of Creekside Place Church from Warrenton, MO officiating. Interment with full Military Honors will follow at the St. James Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Chapel prior to the service from 11AM until service time.
