Judith Ann Meyer

Judith Ann Meyer of Rolla, Missouri passed away Monday, June 20, 2022 at the Cedar Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 80. Judith was born in Des Moines, Iowa on July 7, 1941 to the late Gaylen and Mildred (Powell) Wolfe. Judith was a graduate of Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. Miss Judith Wolfe was united in marriage on June 9, 1962 to the late Leonard Meyer, who sadly passed away July 4, 1997. This union was blessed with one son. She spent her working career as an accountant/bookkeeper. Judith was a longtime member of the Victory Baptist Church in St. James, Missouri, she really enjoyed her church family, playing the piano on Wednesday night, and cooking or baking when there was a church dinner; she was a member of the Rolla Chapter of the Eastern Star, prior to that she was a member of the Crescent Chapter in Springfield, Missouri, and before her illness was belonged to the Red Hat Society. Judith enjoyed travel especially the weekend girls trips to Branson, and Springfield. One of her favorite trips was a trip she, John, and a good friend went to South Dakota to see Mount Rushmore. Most importantly to Judith was her role as a mother, she adored her son, he took good care of her, as she always did him. She was a loving and devoted mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be forever missed by all that knew and loved her. Judith is survived by her son, John Meyer of Rolla, MO; sister Susan Purivance and husband Jack, of Altoona, IA; nephew, Mark Wicker, of IA; her Victory Baptist Church family, and many friends. In addition to her parents Gaylen and Mildred Powell, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Meyer. Funeral services will be held at 12;30PM on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at the St. James Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary with Pastor Thomas officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband at the Wishon Cemetery in St. James. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Chapel prior to the service from 11:00AM until service time. There will be an Eastern Star service at 12:15PM.
