Louie F. Henry SR, son of the late Earnie and Julie (Hurt) Henry was born on January 20, 1936 on the old Lamb Place. (John Willie's place, called the Old Sheep House) in Phelps County, Missouri. Louie journeyed home on March 4, 2022 at the age of 86 years, 1 month, and 12 days. Louie was united in marriage to Miss Dollie Burke on November 4, 1957, this union was blessed with four children. Louie loved the outdoors, especially going fishing. He was an avid crappie fisherman, he also enjoyed gardening, excitedly watching for the first ripe tomato, he would then share the bounty of his harvest with friends, family, and the neighbors. He was a generous, kind, and a friend to all, and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.. Louie Henry SR was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his surviving children, Louie Henry JR, of St. James, MO, Kenneth Henry and friend Shelby Shepherd, of St. James, MO, Frankie Henry and wife Carol, of Cook Station, MO, and Peggy Coppedge, of Cook Station, MO; brother, Darrel Henry and wife Sharon, of St. James, MO; grandchildren, Jamie (Elizabeth) Henry, Samantha (John) Strobbe, Dewayne (Stacy) Henry, Shelly (James) Malone, Casey (Rick), Sheena, Bobbi Sue, Tammy, and Jimmy; great-grandchildren, Paige, Blake, Izzy, Gabby, Enyssa (Devon), Zoie, Hunter, Taylor (Tyler), Harley, Lea, Liam, Landon, Lexus, Gauge, and Coby; great-great-grandchildren, Elijah, and Kilo. In addition to his parents Earnie and Julie, Louie was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dollie Henry; brothers, Bill, Pete, Raymond, Damon, Joe, and infant brother Earnest Eugene (Gene); sisters, Edith, Becky, and Norma Ruth; grandchildren, Elijah Blue, and Tabitha Henry. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at the St. James Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary with Pastor Jerry Lea officiating. Music is provided by Korina Lea accompanied by Dennis, Robin, and Allison Vaughn. Interment will be in the Carr Cemetery in Crawford County where he will be laid to rest next to his beloved Dollie. Serving as pallbearers will be Jamie Henry, Blake Henry, Dewayne Henry, Sheena Henry, Gauge Mundale, and Coby Pitts, serving as honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Schroeder, Brian Schroeder, and Billy Henry III.
